Dr. Anthony Fauci was recently asked if America has turned the corner in the COVID-19 pandemic. His response: “We are at the corner. Whether or not we turn the corner remains to be seen.” 

Whether it’s a pandemic, the economy, our favorite sports team, our health, our careers, or the yet-to-be-determined events of our futures, we often view our situations from a crossroads perspective. For some of us, we cannot wait to turn the corner and are ready and willing to do whatever it takes to get there.  For the rest of us, that corner represents a huge obstacle that often prevents us from wanting to make that turn.

Do you remember when you learned to ride a bike? What was one of the hardest parts? Turning the corner!  We certainly fell off the bike in those early days of practicing our new talent! And what were we told? It’s OK, get back on your bike and try again!

Our life’s journey is never a straight line. We will hit roadblocks and detours, bumps and ditches, and intersections that offer choices on which way to turn. Remember – turning the corner is often the hardest part. But when you do, you may just discover the secret gate that opens a whole new world of amazing opportunities!
